Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she suffered two miscarriages while discussing the devastating reversal of Roe V Wade over the summer.
The Academy Award-winning actor, who recently welcomed her first child Cy with her husband Cooke Maroney, confessed the shocking reversal forced her to think back on more difficult moments from her past.
Jen shared that she found it heartbreaking to think about the young women whose position she was once in, who will be forced to carry out unwanted pregnancies.

In a candid interview with Vogue for its October 2022 issue, Jennifer shared that she had gotten pregnant in her early 20s and fully intended on getting an abortion.
However, before she could get to a clinic, she 'had a miscarriage alone in Montreal'.
The Hunger Games star got pregnant again while filming Netflix's Don't Look Up, but had another miscarriage. The second time around, Jennifer had to undergo a D&C (dilation and curettage) to remove tissue from her uterus. Soon after, she fell pregnant with her son Cy.

For the actor, having to think of young women - many under 18 years old - having to go through unwanted pregnancy and other similar difficulties with very little options, was unbearable.
“I remember a million times thinking about it while I was pregnant. Thinking about the things that were happening to my body. And I had a great pregnancy," she said.
"I had a very fortunate pregnancy. But every single second of my life was different. And it would occur to me sometimes: What if I was forced to do this?”

Elsewhere in the interview, Jennifer discussed the strain that certain politics - sparking from the 2016 presidential election - had put on her ties to certain family members over the years.
"I just worked so hard in the last five years to forgive my dad and my family and try to understand: It’s different. The information they are getting is different. Their life is different", she said.
"I’ve tried to get over it and I really can’t. I can’t. I’m sorry I’m just unleashing, but I can’t f**k with people who aren’t political anymore. You live in the United States of America. You have to be political. It’s too dire. Politics are killing people."

The new mum acknowledged plenty other people are in similar positions with their own families and could probably relate to her predicament.
She asked: "How could you raise a daughter from birth and believe that she doesn’t deserve equality? How?"
