As of this week, Kim Kardashian is officially a single woman following the latest hearing for her divorce proceedings from Kanye West.
While Kim appeared in court via video link on Wednesday, Kanye failed to show up for the hearing.
Despite his absence, the judge did grant one of the rapper's three conditions in the ruling.

According to TMZ, the judge granted that "any right to get reimbursement of money that's supposed to be divided up will be preserved in case either of them dies."
Originally, Kanye had three conditions, according to his lawyer.
His other two requests were that Kim could not transfer any assets she has in her trust, and that Kim would waive the 'marital privilege' if she remarries.

These were both rejected by the judge at Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Meanwhile, Kim had a condition of her own: that her name be changed back from Kardashian-West to Kardashian - solidifying her new single status.
This move is a win for Kim, despite weeks of Ye publicly petitioning for her to take him back.

Kim officially filed for a divorce back in February 2021, but wound up in a complicated legal battle with her now ex-husband.
Speaking to Vogue last month, Kim explained the reasons behind her plans to divorce her husband of nearly seven years.
“For so long, I did what made other people happy. I think in the last two years I decided I’m going to make myself happy – and that feels really good" she said at the time.

“My forties are about being Team Me. I’m going to eat well. I’m going to work out. I’m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy. I’m going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don’t want to see something on Instagram.”
Kim and Kanye were married back in May 2014, and share four children together: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
