Shakira has bid farewell to Barcelona to 'start a new chapter' following her split from Gerard Piqué.
The couple were together for 11 years before eventually parting ways in June 2022. They are also parents to two sons, Sasha, eight, and Milan, 10.
"We regret to confirm that we are separating," a joint statement read at the time.

Shortly after, the singer broke her silence in an interview with Elle, calling the situation 'the darkest hours of my life'.
But Shakira has since issued an emotional farewell to the city on her Instagram page and has thanked the people of Barcelona, where she 'learned that friendship is certainly longer than love'.

Since her breakup with Pique, Shakira has released two songs, which are speculated to be about the break-up with the retired ex-footballer.
In October 2022, she released her first song, titled 'Monotonía'.
The Spanish lyrics read: "It wasn't your fault, it wasn't my fault / It was monotony's fault / I never said anything but it hurt / I knew this would happen.

"Suddenly you were no longer the same / You left me because of your narcissism / You forgot what we were one day."
Then at the start of the year, she dropped a monster hit titled 'BZRP Music Session #53' featuring Bizarrap, where she seemingly name-dropped Clara Chia Marti, who is romantically linked to Piqué.
She sings 'claramente' in the pre-chorus, and fans think she's saying 'calara-mente'.
"I'm worth two 22-year-olds / You traded in a Ferrari for a Twingo / You traded in a Rolex for a Casio."
Later on in the song, Shakira sings that there are no 'hard feelings' but insists they are never, ever getting back together.
