Stranger Things star David Harbour has revealed how he fell for singer Lily Allen before the pair officially tied the knot back in 2020.
The actor, who plays Chief Jim Hopper on the beloved Netflix series, used to tell people that he first met Lily while backstage at a talk show - but he has since decided to set the record straight.
David revealed that, in truth, he was working in London on Marvel's Black Widow movie when he tried out the exclusive dating app Raya, where he got talking to the 'Not Fair' singer.

Speaking to GQ, David recalled: "I was in London alone, doing Black Widow, on this app, going on dates and stuff.
"And yeah, I started texting with her, she was in Italy at the time — we got together, went on a date at The Wolseley, and it was, you know, she's f***ing unbelievable."
Asked when he fell in love with Allen, Harbour joked: "She claims to have fallen in love at first sight with me — I mean, who wouldn't?"

But in reality, David remembers the 'exact moment' he fell for the songstress.
"It was our third date. I was just in this phase, where I was like, I'm just going to be brutally honest about everything, because why lie? And I told her something about my life, about my beliefs," he shared.
"It would take a really extraordinary person to be accepting of the things that I said. And I remember thinking: 'Wow, that's somebody I want to be around.'"

Lily and David were first spotted looking cozy in together back in summer 2019 on a sweet London date.
The public outing came months after the pair had split from their previous partners - David from Alison Sudol, and Lily from MC Meridian Dan.
Just under a year later, the couple made their first official appearance together on the 2020 SAG Awards red carpet.
Their relationship moved along rather speedily when David decided to self-isolate with Lily and her two daughters Marnie and Ethel in London during the Covid-19 pandemic.

After just a few months of living together in lockdown, the couple filed a marriage license in Las Vegas and were married in the Graceland Wedding Chapel, accompanied by an Elvis impersonator in September 2020.
Most recently, the happy couple appeared arm in arm at the red carpet premiere for season four of Stranger Things, alongside Lily's children.
The pair appear to be just as a loved up as when they first met, and we can't thank them enough for proving that, despite the odds, dating apps really can work!
