You'd think leaving her for Angelina Jolie would be the most savage move that Brad Pitt could pull on ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
Apparently, however, he also issued a brutal statement about their marriage in the years that followed - and let's just say, it's a pretty painful burn.
For those out of the loop with Brad and Jennifer's former romance, allow us to catch you up.

The couple met in 1994 through their manager, immediately striking up a mutual attraction and going on to pile on mega-PDA at countless red carpet events.
In 2000, after six years together, the couple tied the knot in Malibu and were often dubbed one of Hollywood's strongest couples.
Sadly, however, marital bliss wasn't to last, and in 2005, Brad and Jennifer announced their divorce, citing irreconcilable differences at the time.
In the weeks prior, however, speculation had littered the headlines, accusing the actor of having already found love with his Mrs and Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie, with the pair playing the titular married couple in the sexy rom-com.

The 'Lara Croft' actress' former bodyguard Mark Behar later told press he'd once caught the pair 'making out' in their trailers between sets, and alleged that they repeatedly passed x-rated notes to one another.
That said, however, 'Brangelina' - as they were subsequently nicknamed after going public with their own romance just weeks after Brad's split from Jennifer was announced - went on to insist that there were absolutely no cross-overs.
Though recent years have seen Jennifer and Brad continue to relish a loving friendship, we imagine a comment he made about her during his marriage to latest spouse Angelina still stings for the Friends actress.

During the height of his romance with Angelina, the Fight Club frontman made a series of controversial remarks about his first marriage.
Alleging he only found 'true happiness' after meeting Angelina, Brad admitted: "For a long time I thought I did too much damage – drug damage. I was a bit of a drifter.
"A guy who felt he grew up in something of a vacuum and wanted to see things, wanted to be inspired. I followed that other thing. I spent years [expletive] off. But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity."
And whilst he didn't explicitly state that these 'wasted years' occurred during his marriage to Jennifer, another remark he made in 2011 seems to support this assertion.

He told Parade magazine that he'd spent a huge portion of the 90s 'sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out'.
Brad even claimed: "I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't."
Interestingly, however, it would soon transpire that Brad and Angelina's romance wasn't all it was cracked up to be, and in 2016, they announced their split for the same reasons.

They'd been married for two years and had welcomed six children - Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - at the time.
