Nikki Glaser is a certified Swiftie, but don’t expect her to go up to Taylor Swift at public events.
The stand-up comedian, actress, and television host has revealed why she chooses to avoid approaching the Shake It Off singer when they’re at the same events.
“I will never be the one to be like, ‘Excuse me’. Ever,” the Golden Globes 2025 host said on Monday’s episode of Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert. “It’s almost rude what I do when I’m in the same room as Taylor Swift because I won’t even look her way.”
People often say you should never meet your heroes, but the fear of Taylor not living up to expectations is not why Nikki avoids approaching her IRL.

She added: “There’s no way that she’s dying for that on a night like this where everyone’s doing it. And of course, she would be so nice. I know exactly how it would go down. But I don’t wanna take someone’s energy away [when] I require their energy to be put into making great music.
“I don’t want her to make a less great song because she had to be like, ‘Nice to meet you,’ and like, hold me as I’m crying.”
Swift is one of the biggest pop stars right now, and Glaser insists that she’d rather not ‘bother’ the 35-year-old singer and allow her to have her space because ‘everyone wants a piece of her’.

So, how big of a fan is the FBoy Island host? She spent ‘close to $100,000’ on tickets and travel expenses to attend not one but 22 of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows over a two-year period.
Speaking to People, she said: “I justify that cost because I don’t have kids, and it’s something that I consciously decided not to do, and it was something that I struggled with.”
She added: “People spend that much on their kids playing hockey for five years. So it’s OK.”
In other Taylor Swift news, weeks after the Kansas City Chiefs lost the Super Bowl championship this year, her boyfriend Travis Kelce said in a recent episode of his and his older brother Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast that Taylor's tunes helped boost his mood when feeling low.

"The only way to find yourself in the light is to find yourself in the dark first," Travis explained to Jason when discussing what genre of music he gravitates towards when sad. "I listen to music that is very telling of my mood - yes."
While Jason said he loves 'sad country songs', Travis continued: "I just listen to Taylor’s songs. She has something for everything."
Agreeing, Jason said: "No matter what mood, you can find some Taylor music."
"And how the Eagles broke my heart," Travis added, referencing the Super Bowl loss.
