It seems there's an avalanche of new material to sink your teeth onto on Netflix every single week. And, while most of the streaming service's new additions are warmly welcomed - it's clear they don't always get it right.
The latest backlash sees Netflix viewers threatening to boycott the platform entirely over its new action-thriller which just dropped last week (21 June).

The film follows a special forces commando named Parker - played by Jessica Alba - who is on active duty overseas when she gets called back to her hometown with the tragic news that her father has suddenly died.
She then returns to her hometown only to uncover the 'bleak conspiracy' that may have been connected to her father’s mysterious death.
Joining Alba's character includes former boyfriend turned sheriff Jesse (Mark Webber), his hot-tempered brother Elvis (Jake Weary), and their powerful father Senator Swann (Anthony Michael Hall) as she looks to understand what actually happened to her dad.

The film, which currently sits at 'No.1 in Films Today' on the platform, is none other than Trigger Warning and it's sparked quite the reaction from viewers online. Check out the official trailer here.
One X user slammed: "Watched the movie Trigger Warning on Netflix. It’s awful. There. Saved you two hours."
A second piped up: "Netflix needs to do better… Trigger Warning movie was trash! Literally so many parts made no sense smh."

"Trigger Warning is one of the most boring movies I've seen all year, but it's also far and away the dumbest! A film seemingly made to justify Netflix's ability to watch things at 1.5x speed," hit out a third.
And a fourth added: "Trigger Warning joins a long list of Netflix's terrible action movies. Also, a weak plot. The only thing that made it watchable was Jessica Alba, that was it."
"I got about 3 minutes into Trigger Warning on Netflix and realised it’s disgusting propaganda and Islamophobic horse sh*t and turned it off," wrote another.

And a final X user added: "Boycott this racist a** movie that normalises Americans hiding in aid trucks to shoot and murder Arabs. Does this sound familiar to anyone?"
