We've got just a week over until we all celebrate the big day and amidst the Crimbo dinner sorting and last-minute present shopping, we clearly love nothing more than rattling through all our favourite flicks.
And after crying our eyes out over Love Actually and feeling all warm and fuzzy over How the Grinch Stole Christmas, watching the beloved Home Alone movies is simply a given.
However, while we've all watched the films probably dozens of times by now, it's clear fans of the franchise know a whole lot less about what really went on behind-the-scenes as Macaulay Culkin has now revealed his co-star Joe Pesci 'bit his finger' during rehearsals.
The go-to Christmas movie came out over three decades back in 1990, starring a baby-faced Culkin and Goodfellas star Pesci alongside Daniel Stern, John Heard and Catherine O'Hara.

As we know, the plot follows eight-year-old Kevin McCallister (Culkin) who is accidentally left behind when his family leaves for France.
He's clearly buzzing to be home alone at the start, however, when thieves Marv (Stern) and Harry (Pesci) try to break into his home, he puts up a fight like no other.
While the first film is packed full of gnarly stunts and hilarious - and painful - pranks, it's clear the roughhousing wasn't only limited to when the cameras were rolling.

Speaking at Q&A session in Illinois as part of Culkin's A Nostalgic Night With Macaulay Culkin tour to celebrate the movie, he revealed that Pesci accidentally chomped down on his finger.
"He [Joe] was trying to scare me. He was like, 'I want to be menacing to this kid'," Culkin recalled, via the New York Times.
After clocking he accidentally bit down on Culkin's finger, Culkin said that he 'didn't reach much' and even joked that the bite left him with a scar.
"I have a scar," the 44-year-old continued. "I saw his face - and I’ve never, ever seen Joe Pesci actually scared.

"Because he’s like, 'I just bit a kid!'"
Macaulay stars in the blockbuster hit alongside his younger brother, Kieran, who recently revealed the honest reason why he won’t let his two kids watch the Home Alone films.
When discussing Home Alone with E! News, the Succession star - who shares daughter Kinsey, five, and son, Wilder, three, with wife Jazz Charlton - declared the film inappropriate for such young viewers, explaining: "There’s still some scary parts.

"For the three-year-old, there’s the tarantula [and] there’s the guy at the end who said, ‘I’m gonna bite off all your fingers'.
"That’s scary for a three-year-old."
He went on to admit, however, that he might allow his kids a look this time around.
"We think they might be ready for Home Alone this year,” he joked. "If not, next year."
