After a TikTok went viral this week claiming he'd been arrested, Married At First Sight UK star Adam Nightingale has released a statement addressing the speculation.
Taking to social media yesterday (7 November), the reality star finally set the record straight.
Throughout the duration of the 2024 series, Adam remained one of the romance experiment's most controversial characters.

He initially rubbed viewers up the wrong way during his wedding to on-screen wife Polly Sellman after making a series of comments about her appearance, expressing disappointment and claiming he usually goes for 'unreal brunettes'.
And in the weeks that followed, it looked as though things were only destined to go from back to worse for Polly.
After getting intimate together during their honeymoon, the bride was blindsided when Adam suddenly gave her the cold shoulder.

Later, during the series' first dinner party, he went on to both discuss Polly's looks with another groom, Nathan - who thankfully called him out on his 'shallow' take on finding love - and to take a pretty obvious interest in one of the other brides.
More recently, Adam shocked viewers during the 'wife swap' segment of the series, where he went above and beyond to impress stand-in bride Amy, including by making her breakfast in bed - effort fans noted he never put into his relationship with Polly.
Interestingly, however, Adam's dubious antics have this week extended beyond the Channel 4 cameras, after a video went viral on social media which alleged that the MAFS UK star had been apprehended by police officers.

Today, however, the reality star has spoken about about the speculation and finally set the record straight on his supposed run in with the law.
Commenting on the viral TikTok, he explained: "The picture of me with the police was local police ladies asking for a photo with me while I was at work. Jesus."
Following the viral video, a photo of Adam accompanied by some officers also began trending online, with many fans of the show wondering what crimes he could have possibly have committed - apart from being a 'terrible' husband to wife Polly...
A source close to the TV star has since explained that it was all in the spirit of Halloween.

"Adam was pretty surprised to see people online saying he had been arrested," they told press.
"In reality, he was working at 63 barbers in Ilkeston getting into the Halloween spirit."
The insider reportedly added: "Even the police got involved and a few female officers spotted him and asked for pictures.

"It’s a real shame people have made up a different narrative."
