The Mean Girls reunion we’ve all been hoping for has finally happened as Lindsay Lohan reunited with the cast.
We all have Walmart to thank for making the most “fetch” moment of the year happen by bringing together Lohan, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried together again in their Mean Girls roles.
The American retailer is drawing attention to its upcoming Black Friday sales by releasing an advert - on Wednesday, of course - featuring some of the original actors from the culture-defining 2004 teen comedy film.
Karen (Seyfried), Gretchen (Chabert) and Cady (Lohan) are all grown up in the two minute-long advert and it seems like some things never change.

We first see Gretchen pull up outside North Shore High School to pick up her teenage daughter when she says: “Get in sweetie, we’re going shopping.”
It's like music to our ears!
Karen is still trying (and mostly failing) to present the weather forecast meanwhile former Mathlete captain and amateur rapper Kevin (Rajiv) is seen briefly in his living room with his own little boy.
But we know what you’re thinking - what happened to Cady? She’s now the school’s guidance counsellor, which totally makes sense since she has heaps of experience after her tumultuous school year back in 2004 going up against the queen of The Plastics, Regina George.

The advert is filled to the brim with Mean Girls references; Gretchen has basically turned into a ‘cool mum’ just like June George (Amy Poehler) as she tries to help her daughter film TikToks.
And almost two decades later, people are still telling Gretchen that “fetch” will never happen.
Poor gal!

There are also a few new faces, too. Including hip hop icon Missy Elliott who fills in as the school’s coach - we all remember when he warned the students against having sex because they’ll ‘get pregnant and die’.
In the Walmart advert however, the ‘Work It’ hit-maker’s message is a lot less foreboding since it’s all about Black Friday deals.
Walmart’s short and sweet Mean Girls reunion ends at the infamous talent show where Damian (Daniel Franzese) presides over the production.

Unfortunately, Rachel McAdams doesn’t appear in the ad as Regina. However, the ad released this week isn’t the only one.
Walmart has since confirmed that new iterations will be released every Wednesday this month leading up to Black Friday. Each week, a different member of the cast will appear in an ad and a social post.
