Sometimes, the best show you’ll watch isn’t necessarily a new release - it might be something that’s been hiding in plain sight all along.
Most viewers are hooked on Ripley right now, the psychological thriller starring Andrew Scott, and others are getting stuck into the second series of comedy and slasher-horror Wreck.

Yet, thanks to social media, another series is coming to the forefront that was first released in 2017.
This time it’s a German sci-fi thriller on Netflix, with many people decrying it as criminally ‘underrated’.
The show has been so lauded by critics that it now has three seasons. Dark follows the lives four estranged families in fictional German town, Winden, following the disappearance of two children.

A time travel conspiracy quickly reveals itself and alters the lives of the characters forever - as well as human nature as a whole.
There are twists aplenty and viewers are transported through time, spanning generations.
All three seasons of Dark are on Netflix, meaning there’s a whopping 26 episodes to binge watch next time you’re sick of scrolling through streaming services.

Season one of Dark has an incredible 95% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, complimented by an equally impressive 94% audience score.
Rarely, things only get better as the new seasons are released. The second season has a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, and the third has 97%.
One critic, Paul Tassi, wrote for Forbes that Dark is ‘the most intricate and detailed time travel sci-fi tale I’ve ever seen'.

It’s a no brainer - this is outstanding television.
Don’t just take my word for it, though.
Many people have flooded social media to share their awe at the show.

One person wrote on X: “This is the best Netflix tv show I've ever seen in recent years”, which received 12,000 retweets.
Another person said: “I think it’s the best series that Netflix has and one of the best series in history.”
A third added: “One of the best! Highly recommended. Left me speechless and thinking for days after it concluded.”
And in case you were worried that such a great show would ruin the ending - ahem Dexter and Game of Thrones - you needn’t worry about that.
One person concluded: “It ended so perfectly too.”
