Following her Photoshop mishap last year, Kate Middleton opted to shake things up this Mother's Day.
In recent years, the Princess of Wales has celebrated the special occasion by sharing a sweet photo alongside her three children - George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, six - on the family's official social media accounts.
In 2024, Kate's Mother's Day post inadvertently sparked global debate, however, after it was found to have been tampered with.

Eagled-eyed viewers spotted a number of inaccuracies in the snap - including a distorted area near Charlotte's sleeve, patchy window panes, the window itself having no reflection, and Kate's zip stopping part way down her jacket.

The controversy also came amid concerns for the mother-of-three's wellbeing. After she spent January, February and March away from the public eye, global headlines were littered with outlandish theories over her whereabouts.
Eventually, the 43-year-old admitted to having edited the photo, and issued an apology for the error.

And tragically, just weeks later, Kate broke the news that she'd undergone planned abdominal surgery, received a cancer diagnosis, and was secretly receiving treatment, all behind the scenes.
Following the conclusion of her treatment in September - and her cancer being ruled as in remission in January - the Princess seemingly decided that she'd do Mother's Day a little bit differently the next time around.
And this year, she has shared an emotional video instead of a family photo. The clip omits her children, and focuses on the power of Mother Nature.
"Over the past year, nature has been our sanctuary," Kate wrote in the caption of the video.

"This Mother’s Day, let us celebrate Mother Nature and recognise how our bond with the natural world can help not only nurture our inner selves, but remind us too of the role we play within the rich tapestry of life. C."
The short clip sees Kate - whose face isn't shown - touching the bark of a tree.
Her husband, Prince William, 42, also features, but viewers only see the back of his legs as he walks through the forest with Kate.

The pair are also joined by their family dog, Orla.
The video is somewhat reminiscent of the clip Kate shared last year - which also starred William, as well as Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte - where she revealed her chemotherapy had concluded.
In that social media upload, Wales' and their children could be seen enjoying the outdoors, walking through woods and the couple shown cuddling as they hold hands.
"I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can," Kate said in the September video.

"Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life."
