Aldi has sent social media into meltdown after announcing Kevin the Carrot plushie production is in ‘full swing’.
The nation’s favourite root vegetable returned to screens last week as Aldi’s Christmas 2023 advert was posted online.
The promotional video, dubbed Kevin and the Christmas Factory, saw William Conker inviting a ragtag group of fruits and veggies to visit his world of ‘festive innovation’.

Of course, our favourite festive carrot was invited inside, as well as a ‘greedy, gluttonous grape’ and a ‘spoilt little sprout’.
Inspired by Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the advert has successfully stirred up some Christmas spirit, and now the supermarket is gearing up to deliver its next festive treat.

Be warned though, the Kevin and Friends plush toys are being limited to two per customer. This is so that ‘as many people as possible’ have the chance to take a slice of festive cheer home this Christmas.
As well as soft toys, Aldi is rolling out Kevin the Carrot Squishees, as well as Sprout, Kiwi, Grape and Plums versions.
These squeezable marshmallow-like toys are set to retail for a bargain £6.99 each.

According to the retailer’s site, Aldi’s Character Kits will also be going on sale this month and for £2.99 you can give creative Kates and Nates the chance to knit their own Aldi mascot.
Finally, if your Christmas Eve tradition involved new pyjamas, then why not put your little ones in some stylish Kevin Christmas Pyjamas?

The latter come in purple and grey colourways and are priced at £5.99 a pop.
Excitingly, almost all the Kevin-themed items will be available to purchase in-store from 16 November.
If you’re after the 3D Christmas Mugs you will have to wait a bit longer, as they are not expected in store until 23 November.
Following the news, fans have taken to social media to express their glee.
One Facebook user wrote: “Beside myself with excitement to get mine.”
A second said: “I’ll be at my store bright and early!!!”
“So excited to get them on Thursday can’t wait,” replied a third.
