It might be a slightly morbid thought, but viewers of the Netflix comedy have all taken to Twitter to share their desire to meet one of the faces of the show in ‘heaven’.

The series sees characters Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin) who are longtime rivals, but their hatred comes to an end when they realise that their husbands have fallen in love and want to get married.
As their whole world comes crashing down, they soon realise they can only really rely on each other.

However, in the season finale, the pair are hauled beneath the proverbial heaven’s gates after a lethal accident which involved alcohol and a microphone.
The pair were met with none other than Dolly Parton (Agnes) - a “working-class angel” who “hasn’t had a promotion in 250 years”.
Fans took to the social media site to share their joy in Dolly’s cameo on the show, with one writing: “Really hoping when I die I see @dollyparton and my besties #graceandfrankie.”

Grace and Frankie’s time in heaven together came to a swift end, however, when Dolly’s Agnes realised that Grace was not yet meant for the big white gates, while Frankie was destined to remain there. Agnes eventually caved and sent the best friends back to solid ground on earth.
Season seven of Grace and Frankie is available to stream now on Netflix.
