Bridgerton has had more than a few breakout stars and one of them is Regé-Jean Page, who starred in the first season of the show.
The English actor, 34, played Duke Simon Basset, who vowed to never marry but eventually fell prey to the charms of Daphne Bridgerton. Watch the trailer for season two below:
However, Page did not return for the second season of the show and was only mentioned in passing by Daphne.

She had a scaled-back role as her brother Anthony looked for a wife in this year’s ‘season’.
Now, Page has responded to rumours that he will be returning to the show that gave him his big break for season three.
The rumours gathered momentum when Page was seen in Milan with his Bridgerton co-star Jonathan Bailey, who plays Anthony Bridgerton.
He wrote on Instagram after they were seen together: “The boys are back in town. (No, I'm not going back to the show btw - the papers made that one up.)

“But we had the best, and most stylish, catch up I’ve had in a while over some truly excellent Italian coffee and sunshine.”
Fans of the actor took to the comments section to express their disappointment that they won't be seeing more of the Duke.
One responded: “This is so iconic but pls come back.”

“PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO BACK TO BRIDGERTON! We miss you!” added a second.
“You just broke my heart with that news,” lamented a third.
“Did you just shatter my glimmer of hope in one caption?!” added a fourth.
However, while Page might not be returning to Bridgerton, that doesn't mean that he's not been busy in the acting department.

He's recently moved onto other projects including The Gray Man and Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.
Thankfully, a lot of fans were just as supportive of the actor’s decision to leave Bridgeton behind.
One wrote: “Whatever you choose to do in the future, I am sure it will be an amazing adventure! The best is yet to come!”

A second agreed, writing: “It is beautiful that each one of you follows beautiful paths that make you grow professionally. You have a bright and beautiful future and we will give both of you our full support.”
The third season of Bridgerton is set to begin filming this summer, and Screenrant reports it will likely be available to stream in early 2023.
