One question has been on the minds of Sex and the City fans since the spin-off series And Just Like That debuted last year is - will Kim Cattrall's Samantha ever physically return?
The series explained the character's absence by revealing that Samantha left the Big Apple for London after being dropped as Carrie's (Sarah Jessica Parker) book publicist, leaving the pair's friendship in a frosty state.
Art imitates life in this instance, with SJP and Kim Cattrall's feud being well documented over the years. Still, fans were hoping to see all four originals back together for the small screen reunion.

Although Samantha is physically absent throughout the 10-episode series, she is present in the storyline via text messages sent between her and Carrie.
Now Sarah Jessica Parker has spoken out about whether she'd want Kim Cattrall to return if And Just Like That is picked up for a second season. If you're a Samantha fan, you may be disappointed with her answer.
"I don’t think I would, because I think there’s just too much public history of feelings on her part that she’s shared," Parker told Variety when asked if she'd like to see Cattrall return.
The 56-year-old actress added: "I haven't participated in or read articles, although people are inclined to let me know."

Cattrall, 65, has said she doesn’t plan to return to the franchise and while she has not explicitly spoken out about And Just Like That, she has indicated towards her true feelings through the medium of Twitter likes.
After the release of Cattrall’s new sitcom How I Met You Father, the actor liked a few telling tweets on social media – and one that caught fan’s eyes was critical of the spin-off.
Cattrall liked a tweet which read: “So proud of @KimCattrall for skipping the trashy S&TC reboot and doing @HIMYFonHulu. She’s wonderful, and so is @HilaryDuff.
