Drew Barrymore has explained why she teared up at a recent Taylor Swift gig in a touching Instagram post. I think we've all been there, Drew.
The 'Bad Blood' singer's Eras Tour - which heads to the UK next year - has rarely been out of the headlines over the past few months.

We can all remember the Ticketmaster sale controversy back in December 2022, although that didn’t stop fans, let alone celebrities, from securing their tickets.
Miles Teller, Aaron Rodgers and Bradley Cooper were all spotted watching Swift at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
According to Billboard, Emma Watson, Shania Twain, and Billy Joel are just a few of the famous faces who were seen ‘swifting’ it out.

Even Diplo admitted to becoming a ‘Swiftie now’ in a wholesome tweet sharing: “I really pulled up to the show, now come at me. I kinda know the lyrics.”
Barrymore, however, had a particularly personal response to seeing Swift live.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on 30 May, Barrymore shared what Swift’s performance at the MetLife Stadium meant to her - and in particular why she 'cried so hard' during one of the 'Anti-Hero' singer's surprise songs.

She said: “I cried so hard when you sang 'Welcome to New York'. I moved here not knowing where my life was going. And I actually found myself so happy in this chapter.
“You are the role model all of us girls and women need. Thank you for one of the best nights of our lives.”
Barrymore went on to talk about the admiration her daughters have for Swift, writing: “I also cried watching my daughters and cousin Sadie watch and love and sing to someone so admirable. YOU.”

After recently sharing on Instagram that her Eras tour is heading international, it looks as though this 2023 season will not be the only ‘cruel summer’.
Swift’s most loyal fans have shelled out hundreds of pounds to bag tickets for her UK tour using an unknown system, while some current concertgoers have admitted to wearing diapers so they ‘don’t miss a single song'.
Swift has had to deal with heartbreak during the worldwide tour, with fans witnessing the 'Shake It Off' singer choke up after she performed an emotional breakup song following her reported split from Matt Healy.

With Swift set to head across the pond next year, Brits will soon be able to see what all the fuss is about for themselves - if they're one of the lucky few to land tickets, that is.
