Britney Spears has officially let loose in her brand new autobiography, The Woman In Me, opening up on her illustrious singing career, controversial conservatorship and her turbulent relationship with Justin Timberlake - including a horrific run-in with him before her 2007 VMAs performance.
Britney and Justin were one of Hollywood's most famous couples between 1999 - 2002, but their split caused a media frenzy which sadly put a lot of heat on the 'Baby One More Time' singer.
In an excerpt seen by The US Sun last week - prior to the tell-all memoir's grand release yesterday (24 October) - Britney appeared to address the long-standing rumours that the former couple called time on their relationship after she enjoyed a close encounter with Australian choreographer, Wade Robson.

“We were out one night and we went to a Spanish bar. We danced and danced. I made out with him that night," she claimed in the book.
The mum-of-two simultaneously insisted that - "with that one exception" - she remained loyal to the NSYNC frontman and that they moved pass her indiscretion after she confessed.
Despite her optimism, Britney also revealed that although the stars were not destined to align for the ex-teenage lovebirds, it was the way that Justin brutally broke things off (via text!) that led to post-relationship tensions.

The New York Times reported earlier this week that Britney claimed to be 'devastated' by the savage split, and didn't want to be viewed as the "harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy."
“I was comatose in Louisiana, and he was happily running around Hollywood,” she wrote.
And Britney also claimed in her book that, just a couple of years after their highly-publicised break-up, she endured an agonising run-in with her former flame - minutes before she was due to perform on stage at the 2007 VMAs.

"It had been a while since I’d seen him," she noted. "Everything was going great in his world. He was at the top of his game in every way, and he had a lot of swagger.
"I was having a panic attack. I hadn’t rehearsed enough. I hated the way I looked. I knew it was going to be bad."
While Justin enjoyed an evening he'd never forget - famed for having bagged the Male Artist of the Year award and performed with Timbaland and Nelly Furtado - Britney would remember that fateful night 16 years ago for all the wrong reasons.
She hit the headlines the following morning for her sloppy performance of chart-topping hit 'Gimme More', having unconvincingly mimed the song and forgotten all of her dance moves.

During the performance - in which she sang in nothing more than her underwear - fans in the crowd could see her extremely visible hair extensions, with the show airing just months after she infamously shaved her head.
"There was a problem with my costume and with my hair extensions," she recalled the cringe-worthy moment. "I hadn’t slept the night before. I was dizzy.
"It was less than a year since I’d had my second baby in two years but everyone was acting like my not having six-pack abs was offensive."

The blonde beauty added that she 'couldn't believe' she had to perform 'feeling the way I felt', claiming she did 'the best she could at that moment in time'.
"I could see myself on video throughout the auditorium while I performed; it was like looking at myself in a fun-house mirror."
