Despite initially believing he'd been 'punked' after being awarded the 'Sexiest Man Alive' title, John Krasinski has said he's now very much looking forward to a promise that wife Emily Blunt made prior to the win.
The Office US star's triumph was announced by People magazine today (13 November) with a bombshell cover and exclusive interview, and he'll now join the long list of former winners, including Patrick Dempsey, Chris Evans and Paul Rudd.

When asked how he felt about first receiving the call about his brand new honour, Krasinski, 45, claimed he endured: "Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts.
"Other than maybe I’m being punked. That’s not how I wake up, thinking, 'Is this the day that I’ll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?'.
"And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me."
And though it may have taken a while for the news to sink in for the Jack Ryan actor, he says his other half was overjoyed to have been given the pretty impressive bragging rights.

"There was a lot of joy involved in me telling her," the father-of-two admitted.
It was then that he claimed that he remembered a promise that his Devil Wears Prada star wife made to him ahead of the win, where she allegedly vowed to make a pretty big change to their home if he ever bagged the title.
Apparently, British-born Blunt, 41, joked she'd wallpaper their entire Brooklyn home with snapshots of the magazine cover if her hubby ever won.

"Do we have that on camera?" Krasinski jokingly asked in the interview.
"Because that’s like a binding contract, I think. My children will love that, it won’t be weird at all."
The couple share two daughters together - 10-year-old Hazel and Violet, eight - having tied the knot in a star-studded Lake Como ceremony all the way back in 2010.
The pair had met two years earlier at a restaurant in Los Angeles when Krasinski was sitting with fellow Hollywood star Justin Theroux, who spotted Blunt dining across the room.

The Mary Poppins Returns front-woman said her future husband at the time 'abandoned Justin and came over to us', having seemingly liked what he saw.
Gushing over his wife in a shout-out during his People interview - which companied his gloat-worthy new cover - Krasinski explained: "It’s that beautiful thing where when you’re married to someone, you’re constantly learning and changing and evolving.
"And I’m so lucky to go through all that with her."
