Jonah Hill legally changed his name and now it’s different to the one he once shared with his famous sister.

Now, it's clear the acting gene runs in the family given that Hill, who has a sizeable amount of box-office smash-hits in his filmography, has a sister who is also in the industry.

However, upon entering the biz, it's clear she decided to keep the family surname while Hill, on the other hand, opted for a different stage moniker.

Yep, none other than Ladybird actress Beanie Feldstein is Hill's younger sister - 10 years younger at age 31, to be exact.

After making the bombshell discovery, fans couldn't wait to rush to social media to share their thoughts, with one X user writing: "JONAH HILL AND BEANIE FELDSTEIN ARE SIBLINGS???????"

Another revealed: "I just found out Jonah Hill and Beanie Feldstein are siblings. What the f*ck."

A third exclaimed: "How did I not know Jonah Hill and Beanie Feldstein were siblings!"

"I JUST found out Jonah Hill and Beanie Feldstein are siblings," admitted a fourth. "Connected the dots of 'Jonah Hill reminds me of Beanie Feldstein' and 'Beanie Feldstein reminds me of Jonah Hill'.

And a final X user echoed: "I only found out today that Jonah Hill and Beanie Feldstein are brother and sister.

"I never knew this and now my mind is blown!"

Unsurprisingly, the siblings once shared the same last name - Feldstein.

However, according to documents obtained by TMZ, Hill first made moves to drop Feldstein back in November 2022 but it looks like the decision has since been made finally official as legal documents seen by The Blast allege that Hill's petition to officially change his name has been granted.

"The petition is granted," the documents read. "Once the proposed decree is signed, it cannot be amended without a new petition to change name."

Interestingly, however, Hill has never spoken publicly about his decision to drop his surname.

While he may no longer share the same surname with his sister, it's clear the siblings have an adorable bond.

In 2022, Feldstein opened up about Hill in an intimate cover interview with The Cut.

"He's my best friend. We are very close," she shared. "And we lost our brother, so we have a very, very deep connection, and he's like one of the most important people in my whole life, and being his sister is like my greatest joy."

Elsewhere in the interview, the Funny Girl actress said she was 'lucky' to have her big brother's career guidance.

Feldstein said: "I feel so lucky to have him and his expertise and his guidance.

"And I think he's such a tremendous writer and director, and he's just very creative and wonderful.

"And I feel so lucky, but I’ve just always kind of been on my own path, and I get to go on that next to him."
