They might have endured one of shortest marriages in Hollywood history, but Kim Kardashian recently opened up about one aspect of her divorce from Kris Humphries.
For those in need of a reminder of their iconic romance, Kim and her NBA player beau tied the knot in August 2011 in a California beachside ceremony. Humphries was playing for the Nets at the time.

However, after just 72 days, The Kardashians star filed for divorce, citing 'irreconcilable differences'.
The following year, she became romantically involved with rap star Kanye West, with whom she went on to welcome four children - daughters North, 11, and Chicago, seven, and sons Saint, nine, and Psalm, five.
Despite moving on from her relationship with Humphries, however, her ex was seemingly able to maintain a hold over Kim, now 44, by making her return the 18-carat emerald-cut diamond ring he bought for her.

The SKIMS boss recently revealed that she was 'forced' to cough up the cash for the ring in order to officially end their relationship.
Speaking on the latest episode of her family's Disney+ series, she looked back at the divorce filings.
"I didn’t keep that," Kim revealed of the jewel Kris had proposed with.
"I was pregnant with [daughter] North [West], still married to him and in order to divorce him, he said I had to give him the ring in my divorce."

She went on to claim that Kris, now 40, only 'contributed a fifth' of its worth.
According to E! News, the sportsman later auctioned the ring with which he once popped the all-important question.
His representative told the publication back in 2013: "The ring is indeed Kris' property that he received through his marriage dissolution."

They added that Kris was left 'very pleased with the final result' of the sale.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Kim also looked back on the other engagement rings she'd previously been gifted.
"I wonder what my next ring shape will be - on my last and final hoorah," Kim - who also split from Kanye in 2021 - began by jibing.

Looking back on her first marriage to musician Damon Thomas, which lasted almost four years, she said: "Number one was a cushion cut, 14-carat."
She added that she kept the 15-carat ring that Kanye had proposed with in their 2022 divorce rulings.
Kim recalled the jewel was the 'first one that I got engaged with Kanye', adding that the 'cushion-cut' was the 'only piece' she didn't have with her when robbed at a Paris hotel in 2016.
Kanye's second engagement ring - a 20-carat emerald-cut diamond - was stolen during the robbery, with Kim revealing in the episode that the 'original' was the 'most important'.
"That one I'm gonna give to Northie because she was with me when I got engaged," she explained.
Tyla has contacted representatives for Kris Humphries for comment.
