Love Island's Ciaran sparks concern after viewers spot worrying comment about partner Nicole

Love Island's Ciaran sparks concern after viewers spot worrying comment about partner Nicole

The Casa Amor segment of the show has already seen some couples put to the test

This year's Love Island couples have only endured two nights apart amid the show's eagerly-awaited Casa Amor segment, and already, cracks between some pairings are beginning to show.

So much so, that some fans are concerned that they can already see the end of the road for one particular couple.

Just days after dropping the 'L-bomb' to fellow Welsh-local Nicole Samuel, while cosying up in bed, 21-year-old Ciaran Davies has come under fire for a comment he made about brand new bombshell Ellie Jackson, revealing that the pair actually have a bit of history...

If you haven't you managed to catch up on the 2024 islanders' recent antics, allow us to fill you in.

On Sunday night (30 June), the girls received an unexpected text informing they that they'd be spending the next three nights in a separate villa getting to know a batch of brand new boys, to test whether the bonds they've formed are strong enough to last on the outside.

And while some of the girls welcomed Casa Amor with open arms - particularly Grace Jackson, who the episode prior was pied by ex-beau Joey Essex for new bombshell Jessy Potts - others were visibly displeased by the news.

Among those particular saddened by the prospect of her partner getting to know a new batch of fresh-faced girls was Nicole.

It wasn't until last night's (1 July) episode landed on our screens, however, that viewers discovered that the accounts manager was right to be somewhat concerned.

That's because it soon became apparent that one of the Casa bombshells joining the boys' villa was one of Ciaran's former flames.

After senior executive assistant Ellie strutted into the Spanish love-shack, Ciaran was asked by the lads whether or not he'd ever gotten with her.

Eagle-eyed fans had also discovered that the duo already followed each other on Instagram.

In the days prior, Ciaran had made the staggering admission to a visibly-disgusted Nicole that he'd previously slept with 'around 120' girls.

During last night's episode, however, after being quizzed by the other islanders, he initially admitted he couldn't recall whether Ellie made it onto his lengthy list of lovers.

"I think I slid into her DMs. I don’t think she's one of the 120," he told his bros.

Later on in the show, Ciaran and Ellie finally enjoyed a catch up, revealing to Love Island viewers that that he'd previously messaged her online and that they'd bumped into each other at a bar, though they hadn't met 'properly' in person.

In the girls' villa, meanwhile, Nicole appeared frustrated to be kept away from her man.

And in a teaser for tonight's instalment (2 July), we sadly see her learning the news that Ciaran had shared a kiss with another bombshell named Lucy during a challenge.

By the sounds of things, ITV2 viewers are just as concerned as Nicole about the prospect of Ciaran's behaviour.

"‘I don’t think she’s one of the 120’ WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS CIARAN???" one hit out on social media.

Another went on: "Ciaran saying he doesnt know if ellie is one of the 120 is CRAZYYYY"

"Ciaran knows a new girl too. Wow could she break up him and Nicole?" questioned a third.

I guess only time will tell when it comes to these two...
