Millions of telly-watchers have been invested in Amy Slaton's incredible weight loss journey ever since the1000-lb Sisters star first appeared on their screens in 2020.
Now - four years on from her TV debut - mother-of-two Amy has made a statement about two unexpected factors that she believes massively contributed to her shift in weight.
When their much-loved TLC series, Amy and her sister Tammy Slaton weighed a combined total of over 1000lbs (equal to around 453kg) - hence the name of the show.

The duo endured a complete lack of mobility, painful secondary health conditions - including diabetes - and estimated shorter life span.
All of these factors eventually saw the pair make the ultimate decision to change their lifestyles for good.
As well as undergoing a gastric bypass surgery, Amy and her sister instilled regular exercise into their routine, cut out junk food and looked towards much healthier meals.
Within the few couple of years alone, Amy was able to lose 136 pounds - a number which has continued to steadily decrease up until today - and she has since welcomed two beautiful sons.

And in a preview of an incoming instalment of the hit reality show, Amy can be seen meeting with one of her doctors.
During the meeting, not only does she express a wish to have her excess skin removed via surgery, but she reveals she hasn't weighed herself since 2023, where she was an impressive 237lbs by her standards.
After stepping on the scales, however, she is surprised to have shed another 44lbs.

It is then that she jokes about the 'real' way she lost her most recent amount of weight.
"Hell, all you need to lose weight is two toddlers and a divorce."
The sisters' familial relationships were previously impacted by their size, in turn having an affect on their happiness - particularly in the case of Amy, who always wished one day to welcome children.
Now, however, she appears to be poking fun at her recent split from former husband Michael Halterman, who appeared alongside her and Tammy on the series from the debut episode.

The pair married in 2019 and welcomed two children together - sons Gage, three, and Glenn, two - before calling time on their romance less than four years later.
Michael filed for divorce in March 2023, with Amy later accusing him of a lack of contribution towards their children's wellbeing.
Despite her impressive weight loss achievement, the TV star has sadly found herself in hot water with the law recently, after she and a male companion were arrested at a Tennessee safari park.

After her car was searched as officers picked up on a 'suspicious odour', the duo were charged with illegal possession of drugs and two counts of child endangerment.
