An American meterologist has gone viral this week for the sensational response she issued to a person who criticised her outfit while delivering her weather forecast.
Claire Anderson - who works as a meteorologist for news station Fox 13 Seattle - was recently blasted for wearing 'form-fitting outfits' whilst pregnant by one disgruntled viewer at home.
In a TikTok released earlier this month, the TV star shared a screengrab of an email she'd recently received from a viewer of her daily weather segment named Kathy.

Anderson - who'd been seven months pregnant when the viewer got in touch - went on to read out the message.
"Please, PLEASE, pack away the form-fitting dresses until after the baby comes," the email began. "Your mommy bump has gotten so big that your overall appearance distracts from your presentation."
Kathy then went on to offer some unsolicited advice, adding: "Something loose and flowing would be best."

And even more oddly, the viewer seemingly couldn't stop by also heaping a final word of praise onto the weather expert, saying she gives 'some of the best presentations on TV', and that she should always receive 'undistracted attention' from those watching from home.
By this point, however, Anderson had had enough and responding directly to the camera, she slammed the viewer for her comments.
"I appreciate that, but remember we are not supposed to comment on what women wear and look like, especially when we’re pregnant," she said.
It was then that Anderson panned the camera down to reveal the outfit that she'd been wearing the day she received the email, which comprised of a white, turtleneck dress.

Sarcastically thanking Kathy for her series of remarks, she penned in the caption: "Reminder: Pregnant women do NOT need to hear your thoughts on what we wear or how we should dress!"
Revealing that she'd endured appearance-based criticism even before she'd gotten pregnant, she told TODAY.com: "You want people to be looking at the map, but they look at your body. And unfortunately, that is just part of the game.
"But it doesn't make it any easier."

Discussing how 'nervous' she felt ahead of revealing news of her pregnancy to viewers, she went on to explain: "For every 99% of happiness, there’s always going to be that one person that has something to say.
"And, unfortunately, those are the ones that stay (in your mind.)"

Discussing her most recent encounter, she continued: "It's 2024, women support women, yet we still have the nastiest emails from women.
"My message was just like, ‘Guys, remember, we are in a time, in place, in the world, where we don’t need to be commenting on someone’s body unless you think it looks amazing.
"Unless someone asks you how they look, we don’t need to be commenting."
