Emma Watson made her first Oscars appearance in five years and she looked fabulous.
The 32-year-old Harry Potter alum celebrated the year’s most exquisite night in film by stepping out for a charity event hosted by Elton John.
Emma wore a glamorous sheer black off-the-shoulder dress for the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 31st Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party.

The Beauty and the Beast actor wore her light brown hair styled with a side part and loose waves on her shoulders.
She was also joined at the charity event by Heidi Klum, Maren Morris, and many other Hollywood stars who came out to support the ‘Rocketman’ singer and his husband David Furnish for a good cause.
Before attending Sunday’s event in West Hollywood Park, Los Angeles, Emma has been keeping a low profile in recent months and hasn’t been seen at an Oscars party in five years.

She last attended an Oscars outing in 2018 at the Vanity Fair after party, and the last time she went to an Oscars ceremony was in 2014.
More recently, she made her directorial debut in Prada’s beauty campaign for the fragrance, Prada Paradoxe, which launched last summer.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower star also starred in the promotional clip with her hair styled in a pixie cut, which she wore once more at the fragrance launch party in October.

She has also been absent from the big screen since the release of her most recent feature film, Greta Gerwig’s adaption of Little Women in 2019.
Emma starred as Meg March alongside Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, Laura Dern, Meryl Streep and Timothée Chalamet.
Although she appears to be on a hiatus from acting, in 2021, Emma’s manager Jason Weinberg clarified in a statement to Entertainment Weekly that although her social media accounts are ‘dormant’, her career isn't.
At the time the statement was released, the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador hadn’t posted on her feed since June 2020.

Emma has previously spoken about how much she appreciates taking time away from being in the spotlight.
Can you blame her? She was literally 11 years old when she debuted as Hermione Granger in the first Harry Potter film in 2001.
In a 2017 chat with Interview magazine, she said that she values the parts of her life she gets to keep out of the public eye.

“The story of my life has been of public interest, which is why I've been so passionate about having a private identity,” she said.
"When I step into a character, people have to be able to suspend their disbelief; they have to be able to divorce me from that girl.
"Not having everyone know every single intimate detail of my entire life is part of me trying to protect my ability to do my job well."
